If – like us at NI Social Media Awards – you run events, manage venues or deliver brand activations, you want creativity that works, not more jobs for you. That is where MAD Colour fits. They are a single, cohesive team that designs, builds and installs everything needed to take an event to the next level – just like they do for us. No multiple suppliers, no finger pointing, just one crew that owns the job from brief to strike.

Why work with one integrated partner:

-
Display expertise: REXframe is their modular aluminium and fabric system that covers backdrops, tunnels, suspended canopies, meeting pods and interactive media walls.
-

-
Bespoke joinery and finishing: counters, podiums, retail fit solutions and specialist fixtures built to spec.

How their process keeps your event on track:
Every project starts with a clear discovery call or site visit. They capture your objectives, audience, brand guidelines and any venue restrictions. A dedicated project manager then builds a realistic programme that factors in design time, approvals, venue access and health and safety documentation. Prototypes and material samples can be supplied where useful. During production, you receive concise updates with visuals and measurements, not long email threads. Install teams arrive with method statements, risk assessments and a clean handover plan. At strike, they remove graphics, pack components for reuse and leave the space as they found it.
- REXframe in plain English: REXframe is a lightweight aluminium profile that holds tensioned fabric skins. It is easy to transport, quick to assemble and strong enough for large scale features. Graphics can be single or double sided, backlit or edge lit. The system supports curves, corners and suspended elements, so designers are not constrained by boxy shapes. For multi venue tours or seasonal refreshes, you can keep the frames and update only the fabric skins, which saves money and reduces waste. If you need to add interactive elements, they can integrate touchscreens, sensors or product shelving directly into the frames.
- Sustainability without the greenwash: Choosing fabric graphics and reusable frames reduces timber and PVC usage, as well as transport emissions. Their in house dye sublimation process produces durable prints that can be washed and reused. They optimise panel sizes to minimise offcuts and recycle aluminium and fabric where possible. For brands with sustainability targets, they provide a simple materials breakdown and reuse plan so you can report on impact credibly.
- Quality control you can feel on site: Because design, print, joinery and AV sit under one roof, MAD Colour pre fit complex builds before they reach your venue. Colour is checked against brand references under standardised lighting. Fixings are labelled and cable runs are planned in advance to keep front of house areas tidy. The result is a smoother install, neat edges, accurate colour and fewer snags when the doors open.
- Venues and sectors they support: They work across awards nights, conferences, trade shows, retail activations, pop up experiences and cultural events throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Venues with tight access windows or listed building constraints benefit from their modular approach. Universities, councils and visitor attractions value the repeatability for touring exhibitions and seasonal campaigns. Agencies use MAD Colour as a white label production partner when extra capacity is needed.
Short case snippets:
-
Awards night refresh: modular stage dressing, branded lecterns, a photo moment wall and digital menu boards across foyer bars, all installed overnight and struck within two hours post event.
-
Visitor attraction pop up: freestanding REXframe pods with integrated screens and push to learn content, designed to flat pack for use at multiple community venues.
-
Retail launch: window takeovers, in store wayfinding and a selfie wall with controlled lighting that increased dwell time and social sharing.
